Your job as a coach is to get curious about them. To listen deeply, in a way that no one else listens to them.
Your job is to be with whatever shows up for them, in a way that no one else is willing to be with them.
Your job is to stand outside their beliefs about themselves and the world, and to stand for their possibility.
Your job is to see the light in them, the gift of them, and reflect that back.
Your job is to meet them where they are in their lives, not to expect them to be any different.
Your ultimate job is to be with the client, no matter what’s showing up for them. It’s not to get them somewhere. It’s to love them and be OK with them exactly as they are, as they go through what they go through. And stand above it, reflecting it back lovingly to them.
Believe in the possibility that they are, even when they don’t see it.
